Dont Waste your money |

I bought this product after reading many of the issues associated with the original product had been addressed. Boy, was I wrong. The first thing you notice is that the User Manual is very poorly written. Instructions are very unclear and in some instances contradictory. The terminology used to describe the individual components indicate that the instructions may have been translated by someone with limited technical abilities. Then there is the software. This is the most poorly written software I have ever seen. The instructions are terrible and it does not work - you can not input your location information and expect correct sunrise and sunset calculations. Worse, the software included is NOT the software indicated on the package. Hideki's answer, "...well we did not charge you for the software." You have to be kidding! Finally there is the poorest support you can imagine. The wind sensor did not work. I called, three times before I got someone who would return my call. They agreed to send a replacement. They never did. Finally, I fixed it myself. If you want a toy, and a toy that will frustrate you - since setting it up, the rain gauge, and the thermo-hygrometer have both failed - then by all means buy this product. I would listen to the reviewers, avoid Hideki like the plague. It is a real shame to see the Honeywell name attached to this junk!!! Poor product, and poor support!!

An OK weather station |

Pros: wireless link provides ultimate convenience for installing the measurement devices & robust set of measurements are provided. Cons: Anemometer was installed 35' from a window where that base station is and repeatedly lost wireless synch; it's now 15' away and is working better, 2) wanted to post readings to a website automatically but the usb connection causes the wind readings to stop; have asked support to help several weeks back but received NO response 3) This is NOT a Honeywell unit; it is a Japanese company who has licensed the Honeywell name -- so don't expect Honeywell quality and accuracy

Nice Starter |

Overall I like the Main Unit design and display - all of my sensors seem to be outputting info reliably, although it only updates info every minute or so - you can watch the wind guage change direction, but the unit does not display that change in real time - it has been unusually quiet weather wise in the Houston area - no rain or strong winds since I installed it a week ago, so I cannot comment on the rain guage at this time - my thermo\hygrometer unit will only transmit data for a few hours and it stops - I have to remove and replace the batteries and have the main unit search and it will work again for another few hours - I emailed customer service a week ago and have yet to here from them. I have not tried to install the software yet so I have no comment on that.

Great Piece of equipment |

The setup was a little difficult at first. I would think you could do everything from the software but you can't some things need to be input with the remote or buttons on the side of the unit. The 1.2 version of software that comes with the unit needs to be upgraded to 1.3 as soon as you can as the 1.2 version was writing my data file and it was growing after 3 days to 138MB! But the new version solved all that and it runs fine now.

Wind Speed and Rain Gauge are Inaccurate |
July 1, 2007 |

I have owned the product for about 6 months. While the remote transmissions work very well, the wind speed and rain gauge are very inaccurate. They are often off by a factor of 3. This product is a nice try, but it doesn't work.
