second hand stopped working |

Overall a nice clock. Rim is metal, not plastic, temp and humidity gauges seem accurate...but the second hand stopped moving less than 6 months after I bought it.
I replaced the battery, allowed it to reset from the Colorado signal, etc., but no change. So I took it apart (glass fell out in my hands, cheap glue) and found that the second was free to move but was no longer being incremented bythe clock.
I ended up snipping it off and putting the clock back together. Now I wonder how much longer the cheap Chinese movement will turn the minute and hour hands.
It is worth mentioning that the clock is mounted on a fully covered back porch and has never been exposed to direct sunlight, rain, etc.
