Great Product! |

My husband and I love this weather station! It works great, atomic clock reset itself for daylight savings time just fine. Yes, it is LARGE. Yes, you need to read the instructions to get it set up. We put the sensor on the back side (facing towards the house) of one of the pillars on our front porch, up high where you don't really notice it. I do wish the "forecast" feature displayed more than just an improving or worsening trend in the weather-- but to get that, I would've had to spend more money and I wasn't willing to do that. (I paid half the retail price for this weather station.) It arrived in less than a week, and even with reading the instructions it wasn't time consuming or difficult to get it set up. Overall, we're very pleased.

Nice System |

Works as advertised for me. Even its weather prediction is fairly accurate in my area. The humidity levels are handy to know. My only disappointment is that it does not have a readout of the barometric pressure (nothing ever said that it did). You also have to wonder a bit about a temperature display that reads to the nearest tenth of a degree when the accuracy is only guaranteed to within two degrees.

Rain or Shine? |

I love being able to know what the weather outside is like before I open my drapes. Be careful to put the sensor in a place that gets sun but not direct if you want an accurate temperature report from outside. I use the humidity levels to help decide when to turn on my dehumidifier, but could be of use if you need a humidifier as well. My main complaint is that I find the panel a little tough to see if there is any reflected light. Before you wall mount this, step back and see if you can read the display. There are options for darkness settings on the display but not enough for my room. It appears to be pretty accurate but I mounted the sensor on a fence in the back yard and it reports a higher temperature during direct sun exposure. Good gift for weather fanatics.

La Crosse WS-9033TDC is great and inexpensive |

This Discovery Channel wireless weather station is the perfect fit for anyone who is looking for a basic but reliable Weather station. The WS-9033TDC is made by La Crosse Technology and shows the moon phases, the time and date, which is a great feature since it is coming from an atomic clock so it is always reliable. It also forecasts whether it will be sunny, cloudy or rainy, etc. It actually is a pretty good forecaster. It's probably better then the local weather guy. It also has indoor outdoor temperature with humidity. It also shows the dew point and heat index. You can't ask for much more unless you are willing to pay more money.
