An exciting departure from bland weather and environmental monitoring instruments, this Oregon Scientific weather station features a modular design that lets you put different displays in different locations around the home or office. Its sleek profile lets each piece fit just about anywhere, from that narrow shelf in the hall to the edge of the fireplace mantel to that corner of the windowsill. There are four compact monitoring instruments that can be used separately or bracketed together. The barometer is equipped with a forecast feature that shows what the weather will be like for the next 12 to 24 hours. Oregon Scientific's Exact-Set Clock with alarm monitors electronic time signals transmitted by the U.S. Atomic Clock, and sets itself automatically. The Rain Gauge accurately measures rainfall and then empties on its own so there's no running out to the yard between storms. The indoor module displays daily rainfall and records nine days worth of rainfall data. The Thermo-Hygrometer measures outdoor temperature and relative humidity. All this with an elegant Scandinavian design, too!

The ExactSet Clock with Alarm is a remarkable timepiece that monitors the electronic time signals transmitted by the U.S. Atomic Clock,and sets itself automatically. The Rain Gauge incorporates an automatic self emptying rain cup that measures, then eliminates rainfall. The indoor rain gauge module displays daily rainfall as well as a nine-day historical record. The Thermo-Hygrometer measures outdoor temperature and relative humidity, and is updated to the display unit every 10 seconds.

Readings are displayed in round windows set into beautifully tapered units which can stand alone, be wall-mounted separately, or be bracketed together into one smart set for wall or desk. In addition to the four main units (each measures 6-1/2 by 2-1/4 inches), the set includes a smaller remote thermo-hygro sensor and a rain collector, both of which are placed outdoors. The radio-controlled crescendo alarm clock with snooze function automatically synchronizes the current date and time with the U.S. atomic clock. All necessary batteries for the set are included. My wife gave me this weather station for my birthday, and I love it. It's a great combo since it includes a barometer and a wireless rain guage - the only thing missing is wind speed/direction (which would require much more effort for installation anyway). My only negative is the appearance, which, with all the bubble-like circles, I'd have to say is unique. Being modular is of limited usefulness - I think most people like myself will leave them all together, and a single unit would have been more solid. But still, I'd have to give this a big thumbs up.

I think this product works very well. I think this product is very useful, becuase it can be placed in every place and it displays many weather factors to monitor. This product is very helpful, becuase it helps you to know how the weather was, how the weather is and how it will be. I didn't have any problems with this item.
